Penwith Pagan Moot’s Samhain ritual will be held on October 31st, at 7.15pm
at
Sancreed House, Sancreed.
This is the night when the veil between the worlds is thin, and we may speak
with the spirits of our dead, and they may come among us. This is our New
Year
too: our New Year begins in the year’s death, in darkness, in ending,
celebrating the mystery that out of death comes life, without darkness there
can be no light, and that every ending is also a beginning.
Please wear black, (or colours as dark as possible), and bring with you a
photo or small memento of someone you loved who has died, (to take home again
with you).
As part of the ritual will take place outdoors, please wear appropriate
footwear and warm clothing. We anticipate the ritual will conclude by 9.15.
There will be the usual £2 per person contribution towards expenses, and
please bring food and drink to share, if possible healthy or home-cooked.
Sancreed House is beside Sancreed church. The driveway is just uphill of the
church gate. There is plenty of roadside parking.
Please also note: this ritual may not be suitable for young children.
